This project centered around a new pre-engineered metal building (PEMB) to house a new 60 feet by 20 feet milling machine—the first of its kind in the United States. The isolated foundation for this machine averages ten feet deep, requiring 50 loaded concrete trucks to pour. New bridge cranes and additional machining equipment were carefully coordinated, and site circulation for semi trucks and new parking was completely reworked. The new addition also added offices for machining programmers and engineers, opening to both daylight views and to overhead views of the milling process. A courtyard to the south of the building is a refreshed employee break area with shade structures and tables.
